Forgiveness cannot be earned, forgiveness is something you give as a free gift to someone, not for their sake but for your own peace. Ultimately when you don’t forgive someone, you’re choosing to stay in a state of mind, where you’re shackled by hate or any other negative feelings. This doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be punished if they committed a crime, but just forgiveness of any scars they commited on you.

In the late 1800s they didn’t have the same resources and chess theory we have today, where chess books and puzzles are so accessible today. Plus playing against people who know chess is rarer then, than it is now. As commoners are more worried about working to provide a meal for their family than thinking of spending their free time with chess, unless they’re wealthy. So if he remembers those things from his past life I can see it.

Yet after a mere year of dedicating an hour or two to chess a day. Bruno knew he was well beyond the level that would be considered a Chess Master in his previous life. Perhaps the youngest in history. He could easily see five to ten moves ahead of his opponent, and if he really concentrated, it might be even more than that.

I see your point, however the way you phrased it, was that you implied he should have went there himself instead of Armstrong, that’s why I was so confused when you said that. Also even if the MC went there with them, the governer of the planet was planning on rejecting and ambushing them before they even met face to face. The only difference the MC would have made if he was there, would be less casualties on his side instead of a massacre.

As he spoke, Franklin's eyes seemed to glow with an inner fire, reflecting the zeal of his vision the Blood spilled of his Sons were just spark. "We are the Liberty Eagles, Steven. It is our duty to bring freedom to the galaxy, no matter the cost. Sometimes, the only way to save something is to destroy it utterly and build anew."

I think you misunderstood my comment. I’m not talking about the MC’s character, I’m talking about this part of your comment “Still seems like it could’ve been handled better if he went there himself”, which wouldn’t make sense since the MC sent Armstrong and his party to gain experience in diplomacy. So why would the MC be there?

Bruh, are we reading the same novel? In the past chapters he clearly stated he was training and testing Armstrong. ❓❓❓❓

True, but those that commit violent acts in the name of Jesus aren’t Christian since they are going against his teachings and in my opinion, I would consider them “cults”.

Peter's mind wandered as he listened. The idea of freedom had always resonated with him, which is why he planned to leave the Jedi temple in the future, yet the Sith's interpretation was a bit off. After all, some laws and morals are very much needed in a functioning, healthy society.

Not really, because our morality is a learned behaviour that comes from our parents/authority figure, peers and environment, as we grow up. So if you learn morality from Jesus, I would say you’re a morally good person if you follow Jesus’ teachings. 🤷‍♂️

Kali is more knives and machete/sword, not hand to hand like Muay Thai is as a martial art.

"There is this class that teaches Krav Maga and Muay Thai," With that, he offered me a pamphlet. "You don't have to rush into anything right now, but I would feel better if you could defend yourself."

Jesus did historically exist, backed by historical records and historians. However it doesn’t matter if you think he existed or not, but Jesus’ teachings is pretty moral if you ask me. Certainly much better than what most of our society and parents teach us what kind of morals we should have.

In reality the bandits would have run the moment 3-5 of them died from being shot. Their not trained soldiers or suicidal.

Either the bandits had all died at the hands of Tang Mo's gun, or the remaining bandits, seeing their comrades dead in droves, had finally lost the courage to flee.
