Richard King, a second-year high school student and a foreigner in Japan, hailing from a wealthy and influential family, embodied a complex persona. He was a playboy, highly popular, the star athlete, and unfortunately, a bully. Richard exhibited a cruel streak, often tormenting those he perceived as beneath him. He regarded himself as superior, both physically and mentally. His cruelty was most evident in his treatment of fellow classmates. Now, as the end of his second high school year approached, Richard found himself walking alone after a particularly bitter breakup. Seeking solace, he decided to follow Miamoto Sasaki, a fellow classmate, with the intention of venting his frustrations.
