I don't think it hurts less, I think your body gets used to the pain but the pain is just as real as when it happened. from my personal experience the pain is exactly the same as the day it happened and it's been since 2013. when it first happened my body became numb. I was on autopilot. I could barely feel anything. the only time I had any emotional response was when my son interacted with me. it took me 4 to 5 years to start functioning again. my thinking is my body shut down to survive. I still feel that pain every second of every day but I'm becoming used to the pain. it's not gone away or gotten better but I've adapted to it. my whole body aches with the pain every day and I cry myself to sleep every night when no one is around because you gotta be strong for your kids and family right?
