Skill and strength don’t correlate to talent. If a bronze and diamond of the same level fought, it would depend on specific training, diet, condition and trainer’s skill. How limited Platinum talent Pokemon will be relevant soon. It’s just unfortunate as I wanted to use this system for an MC who goes from zero to nothing. Talent just affects growth. There’s a reason spoilt brats aren’t elite trainers as actually being a good trainer affects things. You’ll see this in effect soon.

Talents don’t override skill and strength. If a diamond talent battled a bronze talent Pokemon they would have the same strength unless extra training was given. Skill and trainer’s decisions do play a part I assure you.
