Depends if you’re talking about worldwide there’s a few more sporting events with more views than the Super Bowl like the Olympics, cricket World Cup and women’s World Cup. In America tho it’s definitely bigger than the NBA finals and World Series, by quite a large margin too.

No this isn’t true, only Americans think this. Football wasn’t originally called soccer, it was called association football and soccer came about as a slang/ shortened term for football. It was coined by students playing football at the time.
It took Li Wei a little time to realize that the "football" referred to here was not the "soccer" he was familiar with.

Yeah I agree it was a great ending but them making it to the end in the post season wouldn’t necessarily be unrealistic. Giant killings happen in every sport, especially when a team starts to build momentum.
