It's like system is influencing/manipulating/grooming him.
In my opinion, they are not strong enough to protect their belongings. If author doesn't force events then they'll die left and right, will get abducted and tortured for information. Etc etc.
how will they dock their big ships on foreign port?
The project was on a scale that surpassed anything that had been done before. The ships built under Xandor's supervision were enormous, both in size and complexity. For most of the workers involved in the project, it seemed like a hopeless endeavor.

LOL. It's not MC, it's author. Everyone's not George R. R. Martin. Morden world's ideals and morals get in their way.
Qoherys is playing each siblings. His character is exactly like Littlefinger.
But I like MC's character building, about facing dangerous situations and adapting etc. I can relate to it.
MC's character is confusing. One moment he shows his true colours but next where there's no need he unsuccessfully act as a foolish kid. And he's always afraid of his powers and it being known and always hesitates before every decision. He could just vaguely hint that he has dragon dream.
I thought MC was overpowered, but he's like any other mundane westerosi, even weaker than a kingsguard.
"You're a madman," he spat, striding forward to attack again.

Is Cregan the Stark who knelt?
Killing that person and sparing other two are full of plot/character holes.
