Yes, the early development is similar in some ways and I think it's pretty clear what elements I took from his book and you pretty much mentioned them. About the ancient ring, I don't think Yuan got any, though I might be wrong. Then, about Kai being the God of Monsters, that's pretty much wrong, though I can't say much on it since it's spoilers. As for the fairy being an helper/guide, this is an extremely common plot in many books, so I consider that quite a stretch. The nine realms is also quite common and it's just to make sure that the world is vast. It could have been three realms for all I care. Having more realms just gives more content later on. The main inspiration of this book isn't even cultivation online, truth be told. As for being passive agressive to readers, it is what it is. I don't agree with what he's saying and it's honestly pretty disrespectful. The story being a copy is a very stretched thing to say, imo.
