Thanks for the confirmation though I probably should have just gone with that in my head I just felt it necessary to clarify since I have a penchant for details.👍
Automotive Industry, 🤔 knew I probably missed something.
Though the political situation is pre ww1 before Archduke Franz Ferdinand’s assassination in Serbia by the Black Hand a paramilitary group though not a global anti-monarchist criminal syndicate like in the novel. The tech level hovers around ww1 overall but from what I’ve read which is honestly not too much this is correct and that the tech level of this world is different in some aspects either more or less advanced than in Thomas’s original world during this time period. And in conjunction with my previous comment the automotive is significantly more advanced and around early ww2 especiall since the Mosin Nagant or Mosin’s rifle was used in its original form from 1891-1930 which seems to fit well. Though please correct me if I missed anything, as unfortunately I do not have photographic memory.😢
Author can I ask just how he transported that much gold from the bank in his car, since he has 3,000 tonnes of gold in his safe which is a certainly a boon for the main character. But he withdrew 30% of it which equates to 1,800,000 lbs. or 900,000 kilos. And the car I chose the GAZ-M1 Russian staff car of 1932-1936 which should be roughly around current time in this chapter, I believe at least for the tech level of the automotive industry. And which only weighs 1,370 pounds (I just searched for about what feels like 1-2 hrs for the carrying capacity of it and feel slightly miffed, because I cound’t find the weight and max load for the front and rear axle listed anywhere😩) But that amount of gold I imagine is more than several times larger than and heavier than his car. And is in no way shape or form inconspicuous unless he converted into paper currency, but that wouldn’t be enough. I probably am overthinking this and to drained to continue on with paper currency conversion in weight…😜 Entertaining so far and I find it enjoyable though I feel it could use some more detail and the management of the country gone into more comprehensively, though that would probably ruin the pacing. Good luck and good night! 🫡
She holds the title of the Grand Duchess of the Ruthenian Empire because when the former ruling Emperor and Empress were assassinated. Their parents, the only male heir ascended who just so happened to be the main character and in becoming Emperor so to did they ascend since they can’t be princes or princesses if their parents were assassinated. and since the siblings of Kings and Emperors are given the title of duke or duchess and because of Ruthenia being an empire the adjective of “ Grand” is added to the title. Though with them being female and what we’ve learned of the succession laws in place and in the capacity we see them acting in they have no real authority in the governing of the country beyond the typical respect, reverence, and etiquette prescribed to a member of a royal family, beyond their influence upon the main character of course.
Five days ago she was about to leave the palace out of fear but she suddenly changed her mind in the end. The reason was unknown but Alexander was delighted that she didn't run away and faced her duties as the Grand Duchess of Ruthenia Empire.
