Batman the animated series made Freeze one of my favorite tragic villains.

Great question, I can reveal that they will have a complicated relation. Krios' identity will not stay secret forever, and there are some things coming up that should be fun for readers.

Enough relics to at least say they acted honorable. Plenty would of just been 'misplaced,' during wartime lol.
In addition to this, several nations began returning the Cultural relics and artifacts that they had plundered during the initial fighting, and the first two weeks of the occupation. Still, a few nations did not comply with these standards. But for the most part, things had changed overall in this timeline.

Remember that the Kaiser is saying he is doing it for chivalry but really only until he hears that a russian commander threaten a german officer. At the end politics, ego and pride rule it all. It looks good to the other nations that German forces are behaving 'honorably' while demonizing rivals (yes at this point germany and russia have friendly relations but those things change quickly.) Another point to consider is that Kaiser Wilhelm II is consider by some to by... stupid. I can't say for sure whether this is true or not but consider that WWI was majorly influenced (other factors of course but they earned quite a bit of the blame) by the temper tantrums of cousins who wanted to play war. (Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany, King George of England, and Tsar Nicholas of Russia were all cousins through Queen Victoria. You want a fun read, check out their correspondence leading up to WWI.)
After this issue was brought to his attention, the Kaiser simply could not ignore it. Holding the East Asia Expeditionary Corps to a higher standard than they otherwise would have been as Colonial Soldiers.

Great chapter, we know ANBU has been watching him for awhile, even all the way back to the fighting pits. The time has come... What a ironic twist he becomes a super secret agent while he was planning to reforge his relations. Life for our ninja is never easy.
Something is up, maybe it has to do with ANBU or something.
