Life happens, as does writer’s block. Don’t worry too much about it, although I am highly invested in this story, maybe wrapping up your other book will help clear some creative juice for Davien and Bel’s story. Thanks for this mass drop to keep us afloat 💕
He walked to where Bel lay and looked down at her. "If it's any consolation, I didn't want it to be like this. I was going to take my time to convince you to help me, but I can clearly see that the ship has sailed."

Bel's tense shoulders relaxed in relief. King Arnold wasn't part of this. It was all this witch's fault, and now that he was here, she would get out of this and be on her way home.

At least Bell finally came to her senses.
However, she hadn't started feeling more like herself until yesterday when Cerberus destroyed her food twice, and she had to be brought a different meal. Bel wanted to claw out her eyes. She was angry and hurt, but it was no reason to be an idiot. She should have never trusted King Arnold in the first place.

Davien went quiet. Cerberus clearly wouldn't have acted irrationally, and Bel knew this. But the fact that she was questioning the orders he had given Cerberus, rather than considering whether there was some hidden reason for Cerberus's actions, hurt. How much did she distrust him to not even consider the possibility that something was wrong with the food?

He was too far to hear anything, and it pissed him off. He didn't know what was happening and couldn't even guess. He was worried about Bel, Cerberus would protect her but at the same time, Bel was a stubborn mule and could still endanger herself, even with Cerberus right there.

Cerberus deserves ALL the praise! You’ll figure it out eventually, Bel 🫣
She nodded and slowly stepped in. Cerberus didn't move, and Bel sighed in relief. There was probably something he didn't like but she couldn't figure out what it was. Seeing that Cerberus wasn't about to attack, the maid quickly set up the table. She stepped away from it and went to help Bel. She hadn't moved two steps before Cerberus came crashing into the table, breaking it and scattering the food all over the floor.
