And adding here. If Hiruzen dies, I hope it will be by a variable not foreseen by Fujin and not by Fujin's own will, that would dirty the character in my opinion. An unknown variable or Hiruzen himself wanting to die would be good, the first would be good because it would spice up the story and force Fujin to no longer trust his knowledge in the canon, the second option is good because Hiruzen really doesn't deserve to live anymore and him accepting that would be good too.

The problem is how Orochimaru will proceed with his plans. The plan is already flawed because it does not take into account Guy's existence. In fact, even with Rasa it wouldn't work anymore because Guy is stronger than him. And then there's Jiraiya and Fujin himself. Honestly I think it is impossible for Hiruzen to die in this arc without the addition of another variable. Even if Fujin decides not to help, I don't see Hiruzen dying.
