Hollow knight's needle is a bladed weapon with a sharp end so yes, he can use it to slash and thrust but in here the author used needles as needles, when the monster with the original ability was introduced it killed the man that saved the mc using the needles and the wound was described as thin hole, very thin. Something so thin can't be used like the mc does if it just a name of the weapon the author should have said so.
Adam swung the needle sharply, shattering into shards every rock in his path. He had no fencing skills, but his reaction was enough to survive the Prime Stone Goliath's attack.

I don't remember it's name unfortunately but If I'll ever remember it or find it or any other similar story I will inform you.
I think I've read something like this the only difference is that the mc decides to kill himself after being rejected and failing to change the heroines even though all of them die in the end and then is transferred to another universe to live as an extra.
Small changes, same plot this is just another version of the "Reincarnated Assassin is A Genius Swordsman" small changes like darkness instead of ice for the curse, gluttony instead of wrath, blue eyes and silver hair instead of red eyes and blond hair. GOODBYE
So this is like the talented assassin that became a genius swordsman with wrath as his demon but in here it magic to swordsman and gluttony as the demon or system. I hope there's something different compared to the first one.
I don't see smoke as a useful ability cause it's very limited and only useful if he can make it poisonous or use as a distraction other than that it's completely useless.
