How on earth did the soldiers then hear the dying curses of that noble in the center of the army?! Right?! So it means all this battle was based on bull**it excuse to not let the center fall quickly and have Alex secure an easy win…😩
And even then, only the soldiers in the outermost fringes of the formation and the closest to Hemicus were able to detect him, for the battlefield was a very noisy place, and the helmets the soldiers wore restricted all peripheral vision.

Same here. I have no idea why the author destroys his own novel with such forced and unnatural scenarios. And most important is that all that MC has done yields 0 returns: better quality iron weapons - nothing changes, chainmail - nothing changes, revolutionary cavalery - nothing changes, modernized system of command - nothing changes, regular army troops with constant training - nothing changes…
What victories?! He almost died countless times without any reason. A sane man would be extremely cautious afterwards. This is plain nerfing the MC for the tenth time already.
It was slightly hubristic on his part but after his recent string of victories, who could have blamed Alexander for riding a bit high and feeling confident?
