He's a Saiyan and they're all a little dumb when it comes to food and when meeting an alien species that looks human after years of living in the wild for years he dropped his guard a little bit. But yeah I kinda did it in a lazy way so I can see your point of view.
Well he doesn't have memories of being a Saiyan prior to his reincarnation, so he doesn't know how to understand their language. It could be considered a pothole, but I made it that way, so he doesn't just go straight to Earth or have much immediate access to info about the universe. Appreciate the comment though!
If he wins the finals again this year and gets lowballed again it would be hilarious if he goes and joins Steph and Klay with the warrior. The five would be Steph, Han, Klay, Iggy, & Draymond. damn.
