This feels a bit unnecessary, as I said in my last comment but maybe he has a plan. Also, he hasn't used his chaos dispersion spells so I am hoping that he will use them to stop Alex and maybe even injure him this time(not superficially). What I am wondering about is if the vampires will bring Arin back for a meeting and if the dragons will take Arin back maybe they have a cure? or by unsealing his draconian liniage, it will override his Vampire lineage. I'm also guessing that only his mother will be able to tell that he is a progenitor since Kiera couldn't.
There are a ton of plot holes through the entire novel it's an issue with novels normally but especially with one's where the MC can copy stuff or is insanely overpowered with multiple cheat-like powers. Trying to remember what every individual power does and every character and item they come in contact with makes things messy.
It was now possible for Northern to mirror any combat style. And perhaps, in the future, even abilities—without needing to copy them.

The shadow abilities are similar to the darkness that Alex uses right(at least in appearance if nothing else?). Would it be possible to create an illusion of Alex or have Leon pose as Alex and use his ability like he did in the fight against arin to show the world who he really is by creating the ritual? If there was someone with the Holy attribute or light or whatever other attribute it may be called, could they cast it on the other half of Leon to pose it as the form he took at the end of the battle. If People knew especially the royals (since they would have to admit to his use of dark powers instead of feighning not knowing )could they use it to denounce Alex as a killer?

Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the last half of this chapter. Facing off against atticus was fine telling her feelings were fine. He's just rejected her and is finally moving on after TWO WHOLE YEARS. But it's the way she girl bosses her way back up to him that rubs me wrong for some reason. If she ended her speech before the make you mine thing, it would have been decent a closing but it feels like the author made a mistake making zoey reject attics and is now backtracking. I hope he either abstains from romance during the whole war or maybe has a romance with someone else either from one of the friemdly races or perhaps even the enemy races that is sympathetic to the humans plight adding tension to zoeys claim after all she can't rip him away from someone if he is in a happy relationship.
