it's an amzazing story and I don't know where you are going with it but usually author try not to change things but with the timeline you have chosen its inevitable so rather than trying to keep a caricature of it go in your direction and make it your own story with just concepts taken from Naruto
Good beginning just don't make him OP and more focused on actual politics that happens in HOTD. If you're going through the valeriyan steel route try not to rely on magic for every solution .Other really good story you can also read a story about garmon Targaryen as it was based on greens

one of best world building stories ever , the main character may not be as emotionally connected to others and rather than dense its portrayal is borderline dumb but other than that fantastic .Don't make Cleo and Julian pairing NTR is not gonna be tasteful and may ruin the story
