Ah, he is inspired by the GHOAT (Greatest Hater OF All Time)
"The rebellion was fact, but the meteor's timing, the security footage, the alibi, the meteor—it was all lies. I destroyed Planet Vegeta. I watched as your pathetic world and its people turned to ash. I watched as the scouter readings plummeted to zero. It was me!" His grin grew impossibly wide. "And the best part? You—you, Vegeta—danced like the perfect little monkey, loyally slaving away for the very person who annihilated your entire race! The irony of it all! Hahahaha!"

The verse explicitly states "so they may hear the Word of Allah" (li-yasmaʿa kalām Allāh), not that they must accept it. Escorting them to safety comes after hearing, regardless of the polytheist's response. Also, there is no conditional statement about conversion in the verse.
However, Justinian didn't believe in book burning so he allowed religious texts to remain, but the Imperial Creed was put in Place. As the weeks passed, Imperial Control was cemented and entire cities were demolished before they were rebuilt with the standard of The Imperium.

I'm guessing you're referring to verse 9:5 from Surah At-Tawbah: "And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them, and capture them, and besiege them, and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush." (Sahih International) This is a deliberate misunderstanding and selective quoting of the verse. The full verse is: "And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." 9:5's command doesn't apply to all non-Muslims and completely ignores the context from where it came. The verse appeared during a time of war between the Muslims and the polytheists who had repeatedly broken peace treaties and waged war against Muslims. The command is specific to those who were actively fighting the Muslims and violating peace agreements. Immediately after this verse comes 9:6 which says: "And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the words of Allah. Then deliver him to his place of safety. That is because they are a people who do not know." Relations with non-Muslims are commanded by: "There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion." (Qur'an 2:256) and "If they incline to peace, then incline to it [also] and rely upon Allah." (Qur'an 8:61)

I wasn't expecting *this* when I read the story but I'm glad I still read it. It is genuinely good and dersevres to be something other than a mere fanfic.
He didn't try to force a Dance despite Viserys having a son from Aemma. This already makes the author and this story worthy of 5 stars. Because he's gonna have to get creative with conflict
Bro on that Mister Sinister grindset
A low, sinister chuckle escaped him. "Hmm, I can feel it—the same hunger, that same defiance... Seeing you now, I couldn't be more pleased that I sent that little Mafia family to burn Renaissance to the ground!"

Disagreeing with an interpretation does not equate to dishonesty, especially when alternative readings are well-supported by textual evidence and common consensus. Intellectual dishonesty means deliberately misrepresenting or ignoring evidence. The verse in question, Qur'an 9:6, explicitly outlines actions - granting protection, allowing the polytheist to hear the words of Allah, and then ensuring their safe passage. This sentence means preserving their autonomy and freedom of choice and does not suggest coercion or mandate conversion, and to argue that it does is to impose a meaning that is neither explicit nor supported by the language of the verse. Furthermore, the Qur'an explicitly rejects compulsion in matters of faith (Qur'an 2:256). Interpreting Qur'an 9:6 as a mandate for forced conversion would contradict this foundational principle, which Islamic teachings consistently uphold.
