The man was his older brother. In the previous chapters, he said he had a plan to stop the Alessandro brothers from calling the council and giving punishing for Rylan’s incident of crossing boundaries. She was doomed because she crossed the stream due to it being a boundary, and because she crossed it, she also would need a punishment if her brothers decide to call the council. Rylan’s brother’s plan stopped the Allesandro brothers from calling the council so that Em wouldn’t get punished and this way Rylan wouldn’t get punished either.

I think why the last life was led astray was because Cassius didn’t tell her the things he did behind her back. He didn’t tell the reason for his behavior, and because of this lack of communication, everything was chaotic. If they just talked, ohhh how their lives would get better:)

I have a sneaking suspicion that the person who blackmailed him was the King... idk

Hmmm honestly I don’t like Cassius, but not having him as the male lead would kind of just disrupt the story I guess. I think introducing another male lead would kind of make everything seem like a happy/ unrealistic story where a emotionally broken female lead falls in love with a man that saves her from her sufferings, and honestly I have been seeing those plot lines in almost every single web novel I read:( It would be a better story if Cassius and Marriane heal their wounds and become open to each other. However, Cassius actually has to try really hard to make up for the two lifetimes of suffering in order for Marriane to finally fall in love with him all over again. Also this way the title of this story really does connect with multiple characters as Cassius would have a second chance too. Finally, I really don’t want to Cassius to die. I know I said I didn’t like him, but his character is starting to rub off on me because of his POV stories. They really help:)

I think Elizabeth was forced to act like she was in love with Cassius because her father wanted more benefits, but Elizabeth loved the Baron guy so she cheated on Cassius with the him. Idk...

I would be sad if Marianne and Cassius get together because then it means all her efforts on trying to not fall in love with are in vain. I’m wondering if he shows her a little bit of love, would she fall for him again? I want to see how strong her resolve is haha
