Don't know why this novel has a villain tag tbh. This guy is a anti-hero with a more low-key attitude. Is this what qualifies for a villain nowadays? A character that cares for another, while keeping a calm facade?
I'm looking for new novels with the villain tag, and found this treat.
How did you discover this story? I'm asking because this week is crucial - I'm dedicating all my free time to writing, but seeing these results is pretty discouraging.

Already putting in place an excuse so mc can have some semblance of righteousness. Thought this was a villain novel though? Not an anti-hero one.
He could've killed one of the maids, but he preferred not to operate in a place that was so easy to tie back to him. At the same time, there just wasn't the same satisfaction in killing someone innocent as there was in killing someone guilty. The innocent tended to feel fear when they died, but most never truly felt safe and thus it didn't come with that extra tinge of despair at the unexpected outcome.

This is my comment when I saw the author ruined his novel. ------------------------------------------- This is where I drop. I can't believe you sprung this nonsensical poison on us 280 chapters in the story. Are you actually joking? He's willing to eradicate his birth family, the ones who raised and nurtured him. Just because they knew his secret. But for a bimbo who also knows his secret, who he's only known for a few years, he's willing to risk it all? Wasting resources to revive her? For what? Because he's human? I thought this was a novel about a demon general, not a romance fantasy about an anti-hero. You actually wasted my time. Why spring this on us 280 chapters in the novel. You could've been a decent author and let us know this would happen ahead of time. Somehow a ruthless dictator who's responsible for the deaths of millions in his past life, is willing to risk his shot at eternal life, just because of a bedwarmer. This is unimaginable levels of disgusting poison.
This novel is poison. Drop it.
