This is a big part of the reason I don't like stories with systems. Everything seems gifted to him, his power, the people he loves, his enemies literally everything starts to feel like something the system gave to him rather than something he achieved for himself. The worst thing is that I never see a protagonist who thinks for a minute about the question of whether he deserves this, all this power when he has made the minimum effort. But the worst part is the relationship systems that make me question whether these people really like the protagonist or the image the system has created for him.
It felt… dirty. Like I'd profited off something that shouldn't have been part of the system's checklist to begin with.
