I would take on the name Kieu Ngọc La, mostly to keep the ABB off of my back. An Asian name would reinforce the idea of my Asian heritage, giving me some leeway when they sought trouble. Kieu(pronounced Key-you) wasn't something I would have picked but apparently that's what she would have called her son if she ever had one, I wasn't going to argue with her on it.

I just thought about it but did he at any point test what happened if he used an innate ability crystal of an already awakened ability? After all, he didn't check if it was possible some sort of overlap or something like accumulating an amount equivalent to the awakened one would benefit the already awakened one, plus it really wouldn't be that expensive for him considering his ability. Or did he?
