The author doesn't need to include these characters at all—it's a fanfic, so they can just be excluded. My point about overpowered villains being boring is that the fights lack tension. The outcome should be a struggle, but instead, the plot forces a human to defeat gods through plot armor, or the author hands the MC a god-tier power-up. When the MC effortlessly beats near-omnipotent beings using a system, it feels cheap. It's like a crypto millionaire who got lucky versus someone who built their success from the ground up. These types of overpowered, god-level villains aren’t interesting. Authors should just ignore them—MCU and X-Men movies are already enough. If an author wants the main character to fight these characters, they should write a plot where the protagonist gradually works toward reaching, for example, a solar system level of power. Darkness manipulation could evolve from the Mind Stone when going to Sokovia, learn magic and eventually become a dimensional lord. Gaining powers through the plot takes more effort for the author, but it’s much better and more satisfying than just handing out system rewards without any effort or struggle. Why does every protagonist have to be a god? It's much more interesting to see the main character struggle and earn their powers. When everything is handed to them by the system, it becomes boring.
