Its a really cool idea and the world and premise are super interesting but the characters and narrative are just so stupid and forced. The MC's stepmom (who he refuses to kill or even do anything about despite her doing so much awful sh*t) manages to enslave his girlfriend because despite adventuring for 5 years they have barely scraped enough for her family to get by. And then despite having meetings with the royal family (he is the only one who can help them with fixing something) and two grandmasters of the adventurers guild (because he's insanely talented), he doesn't ask either of them to help save his GF (either by pressuring the sellers or paying for her in return for his work or some kind of agreement) and instead decides that the only way he can save her is by attempting the most difficult dungeon ever that killed the first king of this country. It feels like the MC has just been arbitrarily nerfed in the situation to be incredibly stupid for the sake of an unnecessarily aggressive plot point. The same character development could have been achieved without putting him in a position whereby despite having a lot of influence and potential he opts to ignore the possibility of leveraging any of that and put himself in a stupidly dangerous situation. And everyone except Lucoa just kinda accepts the situation. Both sets of parents just give up and don't even think of warning Leon until Lucoa suggests it. Despite just being proposed too, Roxanne gives up immediately and then tells Leon to forget about her and move on when he sees her in a cage. And one of the guildmasters sees the situation, knows whats going on, and doesn't think to offer a single alternative before testing whether Leon is worthy of going to the dungeon. Are the slavers that powerful that they can ignore the heads of one of the most powerful organisations if they asked for a singular slave, or again, offered to pay for it!! It just all feels quite contrived. I am probably gonna give the story a few more chapters because like I said at the beginning it is an interesting concept but I really do wish the author would stop making these inane narrative decisions.
