He looted a few backpacks, matchboxes, and a flashlight, killing the Tainted that lurked nearby, and then went to the construction department, where he loaded the backpacks with bottles of acetone.

Really thought out and deep mythology coupled with the tower-climbing motive. What is there not to like? The main character has a clear motivation for climbing the tower and I can only hope that he succeeds in the end. Waiting for more chapters!
The premise of the story is really interesting and fresh. Civilization/society building is a topic that i particularly enjoy so I definitely will be checking the progress of this novel. Didn't see any glaring mistakes, but honestly, I'm not the kind to pick up on these things. Overall really good start.
