I was curious about this too but I'm waiting for the next chapter. I figure other humans can also be enemys in the dungeon, or, given that Ziom was noticing something different about the mana surrounding the dungeon entrance, maybe when a beast enters they can come in contact with other teams
He let out a laugh, which in his beast form sounded kind of creepy, and decided to go back to running. This time, he wanted to actually hunt a beast.

Oh good, the new party member is a beast-man. I imagine that other than Sarah, being a human in this party is like wearing a red shirt in star trek 😅
Mild Spoilers: Up to almost chapter 100 now and he does get a human form, but he also doesn't really like it and prefers beast form whenever he can get away with it. Which I've enjoyed so far. I'm still very much liking the novel 👍
In the last four years, Zion had reached the human age of 18, becoming an adult. Although he was still young in beast ages, his human form clearly showed his age. He was tall at 6'5" and had a lean build. Yet that didn't make his muscles look odd on him. He had a clear six-pack on his abdomen, and his pecks were touchable for many girls.
