The story follows a college student who gets reincarnated into what initially appears to be a normal world. However, when the protagonist turns 23 and graduates, a dramatic event occurs - the world becomes submerged in the sea as 12 mysterious giant creatures emerge. These giant creatures are revealed to be born from the world's consciousness, with the purpose of "cleansing" the world, similar to how God is said to have washed the world clean. But the survivors have more to worry about than just the giant creatures. Creatures from the deep ocean have also been forced to rise up to the epipelagic zone, adding an additional threat.
