When it's breaking the law or something else unethical? No. If it's something as trivial as drinking wine? Yes. I can't stand anyone who runs out and grabs something or does something just because so-and-so did it. Have a brain and think for yourself. As far as 'authority' figures? They are people too. No pedestal should be involved. Besides, my original comment is more along the lines of 'I hate yellow, so I will not wear yellow even if yellow is the newest rage.' If the public hates my green shirt, then so be it.

"At least have a little, even if it's just a few sips."

Got ya. It is the sort of info that becomes fuzzy after a while. About all I remember of his model sharing phase was him joining that chat group and later being burned when other mages stole credit for his models.

"Damn, I'm a Mage too, why didn't I know about the magic spider spell? It looks like a moving monitor."

To me, suggesting someone break into a house would result in associative karma. You don't have to literally break into a house with someone to get karma, but the karma would differ. However, the author keeps Changshou as 'hands-free' and not really gathering any karma for events that he is involved in to almost any extent. It's almost ridiculous to me the mind acrobatics done to keep Changshou karma-free.

The dragon race fought with the mosquitoes and I became the winner?

I really don't care if it's the author's pov or if it's supposed to be a simple facet of the story. It's understandable to some degree as a story in a medieval setting. However, it's too much, too often. Just my opinion, but I've dropped series where I quite enjoyed the plot but got tired of all the t-and-a.

They all admired and respected the First Princess Stephanie, and this nonsense idea of hers was quite adorable to them.

I understand that. I was literally just asking if Roland DID publish the spell model since I can't remember which models he shared earlier.

That's true, but the issue then would be why let the hybrids study there at all if they're just going to be second-class. And if it's 'generous' to be somewhere to be a servant/punching bag, thanks but no thanks. It's been a while since my original comment, so I don't remember exactly how it was meant. But it does seem that his character model was bent, as you said. There have been a few: like how Roland lets Andronara treat the cat girl even though she's not actually a slave. /shrug/

Roland was briefly stunned. "As far as I know, the few Magic Towers were all founded by human beings, weren't they? Aren't human beings already generous enough to let the hybrids study magic there?"

Bingo. Maybe some really quick groups might've been lucky enough to grab a treasure? Don't know if that'd be a good thing. Might be better to pray for some kind of allies that escaped the transformation. It's not looking good.

"I don't think we are the only ones gathering the treasures…" Juin said solemnly. "That person who did this to the natives here probably knows about our existence. They are trying to get the treasures before us."

100%. This has already proven to be a dangerous plane. Now Juin wants to save the resident 'humans.' The difficulty level just magnified: how much power does one need to do something like that? Who and why did they do it? Probably want to seize the treasures.

"Why are you so stubborn?!" Luca yelled. "Do you really want everyone to die with you?!"

I wonder how long it's been since they were turned/morphed into creatures. If they still remember being human, then it should be pretty recent. Thinking the group is with the 'enemy' might be why they're attacking. Seems contradictory since they knew which direction the culprit was in, but maybe their consciousness has been lessened to a more beastlike level.

"I don't understand you," Juin said. But he then patted his chest and added, "But I know you were humans!"

Maybe. I just don't remember him acting this way. Might have to go back and re-read Atlantis, but don't remember him deciding to solve the ghost mystery and end slavery during that arc. He ended up involved, but didn't purposely decide to cast away the competition in favor of doing it himself. It seemed a bit forceful in my opinion, but could be only me. Again, I'd have to re-read due to the long break.

He stood up and said, "I want to find out what actually happened in this world."
