You could go with vague ideas and him gather the curious ones over time nurturing ideas and thoughts generation after generation the written language is a powerful thing with knowledge there's unseen power. Imagine in a time where usually only leaders, elders, shamans or priest have systematically passed down knowledge the masses can know which plants are poisonous or helpful. Or how to tan a hide properly. Knowledge is power in unseen ways. Imagine doubling the workforce by giving the women a voice with tribal work with farming, tanning, stonework, gathering, needlework, etc. Etc. Etc. Everything doesn't have to happen all in one chapter. Trial and error is a thing for a reason.

A lot of potential I hope you don't rush to the main plot of the movies. You could do a lot with this story. There's plenty of places in the world that thousands of years have passed and we still have have no idea how the population of these places built there structures to such accuracy and precision. You could show us glimpses of your supernatural or not view on different civilizations and the 'gods' they worshipped. There are still places in the world where they have never met outsiders or at least haven't met someone with different characteristics than themselves. They don't have access to medicine or the knowledge of it and stuff that is easily curable to the rest of the world nothing serious can be deadly to them and they just live with it. To see places like that and to possibly grow a secluded civilizations could be cool. The power of roads, sewers, aquaducts, clayworking/cooking, farming, domestication of livestock, bartering and trading could be major to a group of people. Imagine if a territory of let's say 10 tribes didn't go to war because of the threat of the 'sleeping warbear' who every time mass fighting breaks out it (the mc) appears to fight all parties involved forcing a no war treaty for at least 2 or 3 generations the amount of population grow would be staggering and I'm guessing knowledge would see a explosive growth with some hints and tips here and there nothing to big tho.

The story seems like it would be a lot more smooth and free flowing if he was either a incubus OR a lycan not both as it would probably take a lot of future problems off the table and we could be at the same place we are now either way.

Also has anyone looked into the travers will in the case of his death?
