depends on how much content or how fast you release cuz if you do longer chapters and don't release as much it we don't remember the work until we start reading it again and then we get a bigger chapter with a lot of content so its all fine but if you release constantly it's a all fine to do shorter chapters as we're getting content constantly so we don't have to worry about it basically but..... if you do something in the middle of either of those two things if you don't release a lot over time people start getting upset about it a lot of people worry about authors dropping books though so in my opinion the best you could do would be shorter chapters that are saved up and then you dump them at specified time like you say "hey all my next chapters are coming on this day and until then I'm going to save all the chapters" that way we don't have to read whole chapters and we can read shorter chapters if we don't have the time, if we want to stop, "self pace", or if we have something else we have to do... we're not just cut off in the middle of a chapter and by giving a date we don't have to worry about you dropping it as long as you're consistent enough to release them at that date cuz dropping has became a major thing on this site where it's a very rare unless it's in the novel section to get a complete story that hasn't dropped and since we have to "self pace" we can't really complain about it cuz it would be our fault if you give us the chance we will complain . . . and by the way you don't have to have like important chapter titles or blah blah blah just something that can help navigate more than just how far along in a book it is(by numbering) like if we read something we should be able to understand the title but it doesn't exactly have to make sense going into the chapter only afterwards like ..... dark hole hidden more drama lost time quality work hope fairys you dont need a title like ..... the time i lost my watch and got trapped in a well they found out the secret the complete transformation into a dragon God super ultra technique training
