Wood is a character who is starting to get strong in the marines but he has the personality of such a loser.

I saw 2001 and thought [img=thinking] "that's young" he would be 23 this year. [img=nervous]

The world is boring to him and he wants more excitement but he doesn't want anyone stronger than him to exist so he is never in danger. Cringe MC.

I'm not sure I like the thought that he imagined the world into existence and it will course correct as the story continues and that this world is not just a parallel world. It makes it feel like the characters do not matter in any way except as part of his story.
