Honestly wearing a steel plate would be something that could stop small arms fire at this time as seen in heavy armor of ww1, the idea of a replaceable steel plate woundnt be to far fetched, or ceramic for that matter, Kevlar I would agree is a bit far tech wise needing certain industries to become more advanced

Kinda want a side story chapter of this happening between the four of them, would have some interesting world building for Latveria and all that Doom has done to improve their people, like how in the comics when others interact with his people, and their like he's amazing and proceeds to tell you all the reasons as to why
This, combined with everything else, quickly brought Susan to a decision in regards to becoming one of Victor's queens.
