They needed to stop his people from going overboard, especially after Dumbledore painted a target on Harry Potter's back. The boy would kill them in seconds, and that would do nothing more than escalate the situation. This will only cause his people more suffering and there was nothing Remus could do. However, if Dumbledore was right, if Lily really had died at the hands of her own son, then after making sure his people would be fine, he would personally hunt down the boy and make him pay for what he had done. After all, as powerful as Harry Potter was, even he wouldn't be able to fight an entire army. Right?

It was known as [Phase-evolve] and was roughly broken down into four parts that worked together to create a virtuous cycle of growth and power. The first part was [Hunt] where I gained the lifeforce of whatever died. This meant I lived longer and longer without aging the more I killed but that was the most passive use of the stolen lifeforce. The second part was [Graft] where I could steal traits from anything I touched in exchange for the amount of lifeforce it would take to adapt my body to accept those traits. The third part was [Fuse] where I paid lifeforce to fuse two or more traits I had together into a superior trait so long as the fused traits were similar. The final part though was insane. It was called [Burn] and basically I could ignite my stores of lifeforce in order to basically become temporarily immortal and drastically empowered.

I suppose I should also mention I got acquainted with Monty's son and heir Wainwright as well as his sons lover/best friend Alistair Hammerlock. Wainwright Jakobs wasn't a very imposing person like his father but rather more of a mild mannered gentleman. He had wild graying brown hair and bad eyesight but was a peach to just sit around and shoot the shit with. Hammerlock was kinda a stereotypical british explorer/biologist/hunter with a robotic eye and arm and all about "the call of adventure". Let me tell you the dude was an absolute encyclopedia of knowledge on all things animal.
