They worked on a collective give-and-take relationship where the Players would perform tasks for certain senators and get rewards in the form of money, tech, or resources. Swordmaster, Gambler, Blind Prophet, Lord of Madness, and Deadshot were members of this faction.

[Mechanic: There's no way she broke it. I especially made it for her and it looks just like a normal lightsaber hilt when not turned on, so even if someone finds it in her possession, they won't be suspicious. The current newspaper in hand had a picture of Luffy. Rayleigh was not the slightest bit surprised to see that he was alive and seemed fine. He recovered even quicker than Rayleigh did, but Luffy had the Main Character Devil Fruit so such recovery speed was expected. The picture was of Luffy standing in respect and mourning at the location that Ace had died in the middle of Marineford. It seemed that a very cool-named guy who was the former First Mate of the Pirate King got Luffy back to Marineford so he could get that picture. Marineford was mostly destroyed and understaffed, so he came and left very easily with the well-named First Mate of the Pirate King's assistance.
