So he isnt Thor but himself with very small % of Thors powers. Thor went to Niflheim and didnt freeze. True North in Asoiaf is nowhere near the coldness of Niflheim. Because wildlings (humans) live in the True North. Humans wouldn't last for so long in Niflheim even without the Frost Gaints.
