章 2: Sixth Divina
"I am your other half."
It took everything Skylar had in him to not sputter vulgar obscenities from the bold declaration. He felt like the cold from her hands have practically transferred to him, freezing him into compliance.
Though he struggled to move with every ounce of his strength, all he could do was try and tug her freezing hands down, to no avail.
His red eyes, now perfectly mirroring hers, was reflected in her eyes, a glaring contrast with his ebony black hair. The tattered, dirtied clothing he wore clung onto him like the remains of the underworld.
"Hm, are you afraid?" Agrippina teased him, her voice soft like the tickling of wings, "Then, let me return the power that rightfully belongs to you, my dear little World Savior."
Before Skylar could say anything, she pressed a kiss onto his lips.
Just like her hands, her lips felt cold, yet still soft.
She tasted slightly sweet, the faint traces of cherries following her as her tongue explored his mouth. The still shocked Skylar was unable to reciprocate, the pleasured noises slipping out from his mouth practically devoured by the woman on top of him. She let her tongue intertwine with his, a dance of passion attempting to convey who was truly in charge.
Eventually, she released their kiss right as Skylar gasped for air.
For a moment, a trail of saliva connected them. She licked her lips in an attractive display, causing Skylar to gulp.
Suddenly, a notification appeared in front of his eyes.

She watched as Skylar's clothes started to morph, shifting into a dark cloak with white, dark purple, and golden highlights, bringing to mind an ethereal death god. His cloak draped over him, accentuating his body and giving him a more imposing look.
While Skylar was dumbfounded, Agrippina raised her hand, gathering her white moths atop her palm. The moths merged into one, turning into a bone-white scythe with a blade made of pure darkness.
Then, the scythe hovered close and rested on Skylar's waiting arms.
Afterwards, she gave him a triumphant smirk while floating aside, letting Skylar see the hordes of zombies swarming after the two of them.
Perhaps, the word 'zombie' was the closest thing Skylar could describe them as. There was no trace of rotting in them, nor was there any scents.
Yet, they move like a shoddily made puppets on a string too taut for them. Their movement were janky, limbs rotating and angling in awkward directions in an attempt to reach him. Some looked pale, some looked red as if their blood vessels were about to burst from underneath, and others looked black and blue as bruises covered their entire body from head to toe.
"He— Whe— A—"
Again, they all spoke in random noises, cutting off and changing words in mid-consonants. The result was a cacophony of strange noises painful to the ears.
With his new clothes and look, along with the beautiful woman floating next to him, Skylar looked downright similar to a god being targeted by a swarm of creatures from the underworld.
"You now have a chance to try out your new powers," Agrippina spoke, her tone still relaxed as she stared at the horde, "or perhaps, you would rather get a little help from me, my dear World Savior?"
As a show of power, she flicked her hands. White moths gather around her palm, and with them, blue snowflakes radiating an unrelenting cold floated right above her fingers.
"Remember, as long as you pay the price, I can lend you my power whenever you desire,"
"Then, tell me, what is this price?"
"Control," she spoke in a cryptic tone, yet her smirk carried the heavy undercurrent of something else.
"Heh,"
Skylar couldn't resist his slight laughter as he raised his scythe, his red eyes narrowing at the horde of zombies.
"Then, I don't need it,"
Armed with his experience in the streets, stealing food, getting into fights, and running for his life, Skylar was nimble on his feet. He dashed into the horde, dodged, and attacked without hesitation.
There was also the fact he could feel the unmistakable ominous feeling from the woman who claimed to be his system avatar.
She was truly beautiful, each of her movements exuded blazing passion stark from her cold touch, and her attitude towards him was far from chaste. However, during his time in the streets, Skylar have seen that the ugly side of passion was almost as real as the beautiful one.
Though his body still stirred at the affection she showed him, perhaps it would be better if he exercised caution.
He slashed a horde of the frontmost zombies, and as they fell limp with blood gushing from their wound, lights rose from their fallen body, and a series of notifications appeared in front of his eyes.

All the while, Agrippina floated up slightly higher, content to watch Skylar as he slashed into the dozens of zombies still surrounding him. It was as if she was a high queen, watching the carnage below her throne with almost the same amount of interest as a noble regarding their citizens to be starving wolves.
SLASH!
Another sideward swipe from Skylar, and the last of the horde finally fell. The place became quiet, not even the constant rain from the motes of light making a sound.

"I see, it seems that none of these masses have a strong enough essence, too bad," Agrippina spoke, amused disdain dripping from every word.
Skylar turned to look at her, prompting her to continue.
"Heh, in theory, if the human is strong enough, they would be able to return to their normal selves after your [Essence Reap]. However, the chance of such a thing happening is little more than zero. Are you not curious?"
