章 163: Side Story ─ Airi Resolution
Airi stood on the deck of Aurora looking up at the beautiful night sky.
Alisa was chatting with the captain on board, tomorrow they would arrive in the capital.
Bell approached her in a very friendly way.
"Airi-chan, what are you doing here so late in this cold?"
A floating coat came to cover her.
"Thank you, Bell-chan."
"You're welcome. Is something bothering you?"
Airi shook her head.
"I was thinking about what happened with Rudel-san and Aster."
"It seems he's a magnet for trouble."
Bell replied.
"Master and trouble go hand in hand... by the way, I'm curious about something."
"What thing?"
"Airi-chan, why do you call Master with such respect?"
"When you refer to him as 'Rudel-san' and not 'Rudel' or 'darling', it makes me think there's a reason doesn't it?"
"Even Alisa-chan you call her by her name."
Airi showed her a smile and said.
"I'm not strong enough to be her equal."
"Excuse me?"
"Ever since I met Rudel-san, I've seen him do amazing things. Impossible things to do. For that reason, unlike Alisa who has the power of her family to back it up, I have nothing. I'm useless and that's why I feel I don't deserve him."
Bell muttered under her breath.
"Even if you say that, it's thanks to you that last year's war and victory against Diabolos happened. Without your mysterious powers we wouldn't have won."
"Airi-chan, unlike Master or artificial intelligences and even more than Alisa-chan, you are the most important and vital person in this world."
"For that reason, Bell-chan!"
Airi exclaimed the following in joy.
She placed her hands behind her back and with her closed eyes and bright smile.
"The day I call him 'Rudel' will be when I feel that I can walk beside him as his equal. If that day comes, would you offer me your help?"
She proved that she was the saint who will save this world.
Bell circled over Airi very cheerfully.
"Count on it. I enjoy being with you two, so I will never leave your side."
"Thank you, hehehe. It makes me feel more at ease."
"Airi, Bell, where are you?"
Alisa was calling them.
Airi went running to Alisa and Bell just said.
"I look forward to the day when you become the saint."
