章 290: Chapter 290: Traveling to Avengers 4

Above the planet Nidavellir, near Sakaar, Hela moved like a streak of dark green lightning, swiftly navigating through the desolate rocks.

Her movements seemed random but were incredibly systematic; she never retraced her steps, following the most scientifically calculated path to ensure no effort was wasted.

Sitting idly by was not in the nature of the Goddess of Death. She sought a way to escape, first looking for a spatial node on this planet that could link to the realm of death.

With her profound knowledge in the domain of space, finding a breakthrough would allow her to use the realm of death she controlled to travel to other material planes.

For instance, the shores of Norway.

This was the safest method. Although this way of traveling was more cumbersome, it was secure and cost nothing but time.

Hela gave herself three days to find a safer way to escape. If she couldn't find one within that timeframe, she would use dark magic to open the Bifrost Bridge and leave, even at a high cost.

This was why Clark had told Thor he wasn't sure how long he could delay Hela.

Once this woman went mad, not even he could control her.

Suddenly, the swift movement of dark green lightning across the planet halted abruptly. The shift from motion to stillness on Hela's part was seamless, as if everything were perfectly natural.

After stopping, Hela looked up into the sky.

With her superhuman vision, she quickly spotted two spacecraft engaged in a chase not far from Nidavellir. The fleeing ship had been hit multiple times and was unable to continue long-distance flight or perform a space jump; it had to make an emergency landing for repairs...

And it seemed to be heading straight for Nidavellir!

Delighted by this turn of events, Hela quickly hid in a concealed spot, waiting quietly for her prey to fall into the trap.

The two spacecraft continued their chase, with the pursuer landing hits until the fleeing ship was forced to land safely. Just then, the pursuing ship landed a critical hit on the core of the fleeing vessel, causing a massive explosion.

However, with her keen vision, Hela noticed that just before the ship was destroyed, a blue figure was ejected from it, carrying a rocket launcher much larger than himself. He aimed it at the sky at the pursuing spacecraft and fired a devastating shot.

"Boom!"

The pursuing ship, caught off guard, was struck and a huge hole was blown through it. It crashed between two towering rocks, stuck there.

Then, a dozen odd-looking aliens jumped from the damaged ship to launch a frenzied attack on the blue figure who had emerged from the first ship. After a fierce battle, the diverse group was ultimately wiped out by the blue figure in a spectacular team kill.

"Hey!" Just as the blue figure eliminated all enemies and relaxed, a woman's voice full of amusement suddenly came from behind him, startling him into a series of swift, practiced defensive moves.

However, as soon as he saw who was behind him, a flash of cold light revealed that Hela's Nightsword had cut his large cannon in two.

"Clang! Gurgling..."

The broken cannon fell to the rocks below, rolling down a slope into a crevice and disappearing without a trace. The blue alien, dumbfounded, looked at Hela, swallowing hard and asked in a dry voice, "Who are you... What do you want?"

Seeing him trembling yet trying to appear brave, Hela smiled like a queen, lifting his chin with her Nightsword and softly said, "Right now, I hold your life in my hands, so I ask, and you answer. Understand?"

The blue figure nodded hurriedly, "Understood, understood, ask away, I'll tell you everything!"

Satisfied, Hela asked, "Who are you? Name, origin, what do you do, can you fly a ship?"

"My name is Korg, from the planet Sakaar, an interstellar merchant. I was doing business on Sakaar and was attacked by space pirates on my way back. Now, I'm the only one left of my trading party. I know how to make money through trade, I'm good at shooting, and I can fly a ship."

"I'm telling the truth, I can be useful, please don't kill me!"

"Look at you, all scared!" Hela disdainfully withdrew her Nightsword and commanded, "Wait here!"

Then, in a flash, she was at the pirates' spacecraft, lifting it with her hands and placing it in front of Korg.

As he stared at her like she was a monster, Hela proudly said, "Check this ship, see if it can still fly."

Korg swallowed hard again, nodded mechanically, and quickly went to inspect the ship.

Moments later...

"Your Majesty," Korg trembled as he emerged from the ship, "The ship's power absorption is severely damaged, beyond repair."

Hela frowned, "Is there anything undamaged? If you tell me it's the air conditioning system, I'll kill you right now!"

"No!" Korg hurriedly replied, "The communication system is still functional, it can be used."

"That's more like it." Satisfied, Hela sheathed her Nightsword and entered the ship to use the communicator. Her menacing expression softened as she tried to conjure a harmless smile, speaking in a fragile tone laced with panic.

"I am Princess Hela of Sakaar. Our ship was attacked by space pirates..." Her voice broke into a sob, "Can anyone save me? My people and countless citizens are waiting for me to use our credits to buy food and save lives. Please, someone save me... wuwuwu! Click!"

The last sound was Hela hanging up the communicator after successfully sending the distress signal, then her expression turned cold again. She turned to Korg, "Prepare food. I don't care how, but if I don't see anything in thirty minutes, I'll eat you!"

...

At the Avengers base, looking at Clark dressed in the quantum suit and ready to go, Tony said enviously, "Clark, although you won't say where you got this suit, having the finished product does save us a lot of trouble."

"We've finished improving the regulator on your and the future Ant-Man's suits. You can now set the choice of time branch before you time travel. I'll start the device here to send you back to 1990, and then you can activate the quantum entanglement feature to go to their time branch's timeline."

Pointing to his head, Clark said impatiently, "Don't forget, I also contributed to the suit's improvement. All the necessary knowledge is in my head. Once we're there, I can even teach them how to perfectly improve the combat suits."

Tony knew Clark was right and could only explain, "I'm just reminding you."

Clark nodded slightly, "I understand the dangers involved with time, and one more thing, don't let the future Scott Lang know I have a quantum suit. He's here..."

As they turned, they saw the future Scott Lang in his quantum suit, excitedly approaching them. "It's a pity the Scott Lang here didn't end up with Hope," he said as he walked.

Clark glared, "That just means you're unfaithful to your wife."

Future Scott Lang: "I got divorced."

Clark: "Our Scott Lang hasn't."

"That hits hard, man!"

"If you're done, I'm going to start the machine now," Tony interjected, looking at them. "Remember, once you're in the past, try not to interfere with anything. I'm sure you've thought about the theory of fate connections mentioned by the Watcher. Creating a parallel timeline does us no good."

With that, he pulled the lever down!

Whirr!

...

The time travel went smoothly, and the two appeared in 1990 on a deserted island in the Pacific Ocean.

Clark was familiar with this island; it was here where he had lost Daisy, who was then known as Skye, during the attack by Lorelei.

It was embarrassing, truly embarrassing.

Looking around at their surroundings, Scott Lang commented, "I have to say, your choice of location does minimize our potential to disrupt the world's developmental trajectory. But how do we confirm that this is 1990? Where are the people?"

Before Scott Lang finished speaking, Clark had already reappeared by his side: "I just went to check. We are indeed in 1990, there's no mistake."

Such a convenient teleportation ability, I want it!

Sighing, Scott Lang started adjusting the time regulator on his arm: "Are you ready?"

Once Clark nodded in confirmation, Scott Lang activated it.

The next moment...

Whirr!

...

After completing the time travel, Clark found himself and Scott Lang surrounded by a group of even more haggard-looking Avengers, all staring at them bewildered.
