The Truth, no more lies
"Where is he?" Someone yelled angrily behind the doors. "Where the fuck is he?" The person yelled louder and sounded closer. Chris walked in, closing the door behind him. I could hear shouting still outside the doorway, making me look at Chris confused. "What the fuck is happening out there?"
"Alexandra's dad is here and he's furious. He wants to talk to you." I looked at Chris confused. What is Alexandra's dad doing here? I sighed in frustration. "Let him in." I took back my seat.
Chris nodded but still looked worried. "Are you sure about that Max?" I nodded my head and mentioned him to let Alexandra's dad enter. He sighed and walked out of my office.
The door opened and a man in his mid-forties with dark blond hair and green eyes strolled in, head held high as if he owned the place. I have to say that he was intimidating for an old man. He hasn't changed a bit. "I need to talk to you over a very serious matter which is my daughter."
"Sure, go ahead." I mentioned him to take a seat, but he declined my offer, "I'm not someone who middles in the life of my kids but when it comes to my daughter, I can't let certain things slide."
"Understood."
"You dared to touch my daughter in a sexually way at the age of fifteen. Now you dared again to touch her and then mark her." He said seriously. "These are reasons enough for me to kill your limbs, but I'm giving you a chance to explain yourself."
"What happened between your daughter, and I was wrong, we were young and I was new to this mate thing. I just couldn't control myself and it happened. I do not regret it. I myself would have preferred that it happened in other circumstances, but we can't go back. I can't take back what I did or redo it."
"Max, we might not be as close as we were back then when you were friends with my sons, but I know you, I knew your father and I know that you're a good guy. I think my daughter deserves to know the truth about what she is to you."
"Do you know how many times I tried to tell her about us? She would just freak out or avoid me. I know that I've been holding onto this secret for so long, but I've been trying to tell her. I want to and I know that after I do, she will hate me. Just the thought of her hating me makes me rethink about my decision to tell her."
"I know how you feel. I know that your mate hating you worries you more but by not telling her, you make her vulnerable to others who will gladly take your place. Don't drag this too long, because it might be too late after."
"I will tell her." He nodded his head firmly, "Of course you will because if you don't, I will." I held my tongue at that, my hands curling into fists as I watched his retreating back making his way out of my office.
After a couple of minutes, the door opened, and Chris walked in. "What happened?" He asked sitting on the chair. I sighed while running my hands through my hair. "He came to 'talk' to me about the mark on Alexandra's neck." Chris eyes widened. "You marked her!" He shouted as he banged his fist on the desk.
"Calm your tits down. It's not permanent." I explained him more calmly. "She must hate you now." He grinned cheekily at me, and I rolled my eyes, shaking my head. "She hates me already. I don't have anything to lose."
"Whatever. When are you going to tell her?" He said completely serious now and I sighed, banging my head on the desk. "I don't know yet." I glanced up at him, "Hey dude! Stop banging your head or you're going to lose the last brain cells that you have left." He laughed at me like it was something funny.
"Ha! Good one Chris. Real mature. Real mature." I said looking up at him as he laughed even harder. "Okay but just admit that it was funny." I shook my head while leaning back in my seat. "No. It was not Christopher." He groaned and gave me the eye.
"You know how much I hate my name." He whined like a girl, and I mentally laughed at him. "Not my problem your mom gave you that name." I shrugged as I grinned sharply. "Who's the immature one now?" He crossed his arms together as he pouted, "Don't ever do that again." We both burst out into laughter.
"You..." I was about to say something when I was cut off by Sean. "Alpha, we caught some rogues on the border." Sean informed breathlessly and I went on full alpha mode. Those rogues came in a bad timing, luckily for them. I needed something to blow my steam off.
"Hello everyone. I'm your new biology teacher Mrs. Dawn." The teacher wrote her whole name on the board and turned to look at the class.
I'm dead tired.
The classes were so boring today. I needed to sleep! Like now! I groaned and started to walk down the hall while I looked down on my schedule, Math.
Great, another boring lesson.
I was walking to my math class when I bumped into someone, cussing to myself, I looked up to see Jaden smiling brightly at me and I felt bad for yelling at him yesterday. "Hey, I haven't seen you around today." He said with a small smile. "I've been.... busy and I'm sorry the way I..." He cut me off by putting his finger on my parted lips.
"It's okay. You were in a bad mood. We all have our moments. It's okay. We're okay and that's what matters." He said and I sighed in relief. "We're okay then?!" I smiled hopefully. "Yes, we're fine but anyways, where were you yesterday?" He asked me curiously.
"What? You missed me?" I cooed in a baby voice as I grinned, my smile slowly shrinking when he took a step forward. I wasn't expecting that. "I know you said that we should remain friends, but I can't."
"What?" He touched the side of my face and brought his lips on mine, my body freezing on the spot as I widened my eyes, my hands lifting to push him away by his shoulders. I never expected him to kiss me. My widened eyes caught a furious looking Max standing in the middle of the hall, shaking in anger while Chris was trying to take him away from here.
"Get your hands off of her." Max barked out clearly pissed off before Jaden was ripped away from me and thrown across the hall. Jaden stood back up and growled angrily at Max, "What the fuck is your problem?" He tossed his hands in the air, coming at Max as he swung his fist at him, engaging into a fist fight as Max swung his fist back at him.
Oh my God, I was paralyzed. "My problem is that I don't like people touching what's mine." He roared at Jaden as he tried to go at him again and I stepped in between them, stretching my arms out to put some distance between Max and Jaden.
"I'm no one's! So, knock it off you two." I shouted at Max as I pushed him away from tearing Jaden apart. "You heard her yourself. She's not yours." He hissed out, trying to go at Max too. Ugh! Men. I pushed them both away before I yelled. "Stop!"
He snarled loudly, his head turning slowly to stare at me furiously. "Are you defending him now?" He asked with incredulity dripping in his voice. "I'm not defending anyone. Just stop Max. Stop!" I said pushing him away from Jaden.
I was pushed away by Max onto the floor as he stalked towards Jaden angrily, ready to tear him apart. I stood up quickly, running towards Jaden just as Max was about to hit him with his fist, so instead of hitting Jaden, he hit me straight in the Jaw, making my body whirl around and slam on the floor.
"What's happening here?" Jake's voice boomed in the hallways. "This guy is starting problem. I don't know what's wrong with him." Jaden said before helping me up. Max grabbed Jaden by his collar, slamming him in one of the lockers, making my body fall back on the floor. "My problem is that you kissed what's mine!"
"You hit her! How can you do that if she's yours?" Jaden choked out. He turned his gaze towards me before his face changed, letting Jaden go and rushed to my side. "Are you okay? I'm so sorry."
I pushed his hands away from my face, standing up. "Don't touch me! I think you've done enough already. You hit me, you actually hit me."
"Alexandra I'm so sorry, I never intended to hurt you." Jaden ran to my side and helped me towards the school doctor, leaving Max there feeling ashamed and guilty.
“Of course you will because if you don’t, I will.”
