章 324: A Fool in Love

Calix returned to the bedroom not long after Leslie woke up. He was all sweaty and exhausted from the sparring sessions. The back of his shirt was thoroughly soaked.

Andrian and Vernon dragged Calix for another round after he was done telling them the story about Xander and the Li family. Perhaps because some weight had left his chest, he performed better than before.

"No matter what, don't blindly follow your rage. Plan everything in great detail."

Andrian reminded Calix before they parted ways earlier. Understanding his father's concern for him, he reassured the older man. Being in a rush might backfire on him.

Calix knew himself. Surviving the fire was an easy feat for him yet, he didn't want any flicker to hit either Leslie or Calliope. 

'Stay composed, Calix. Don't show anything's wrong.'
