章 7: The Red Room

I can say with certainty that until not so long ago I thought I knew the same hell, so I thought I knew it perfectly and that I lived with the same devil that I can't even call "mother", but today I know that doesn't exist and I'm sure I'm in a worse, true one, I know that most of those who hear me say something like that would only think of me as an ununderstood teenager of just 13 years of life that just doesn't know how to express themselves or face the small adversities of the long life ahead of him, but really all those people who talk about me don't know half of what's going on in my life, a life I didn't choose, but especially a family that I definitely didn't choose and no one would ever want to have. An alcoholic mother who every time she crosses her mind the idea of a new torture puts her into practice with her boyfriend's demented boyfriend, it's not enough to beat me every weekend, or to rip off my nails every time I steal food to take it to my brother who almost starved to death or to throw me with the fighting dogs her crazy boyfriend has, there's never enough pain, it seems like it's a game that hurts Casey or his brother the most.

I'm not to blame for her being frustrated because my dad abandoned her as an alcoholic, she's the only one to blame and instead of moving on as any normal person would, she just takes it out on me and my little brother who must be about the same age as the child I found in that strange world. , now that I've been here almost the full day I can't even imagine what they're going to do to him alone without his older sister who can protect him, so I have to get out of here, although I must admit that in more than once I thought about giving up and finishing all this, I know that my brother needs me at home and that I must rescue him as soon as possible I can't afford to get caught and taken to the red room like everyone else, I would never forgive myself and just think about it freezes my blood.

Shortly after arriving

Sometimes I happened to be silly, but this time it was the end, how could I fall into such a strange place?, this is not at all right, none of this is and I know that those things were not joking when I was warned to hide well, but I can't sit by and wait for this to end, when I don't even know how to do that , I just can't stop moving and hiding, although it's kind of hard to know where I am when everything is so dark and looks so similar, although this is weird, why is there a strange red light coming out of this room? I can't just stand there and find out what this is.

As I enter the strange room I can't stop moving forward, it seems like there's something bending the hallway where the red light gets brighter and brighter, although I think I'm distracting someone lying on the floor, I'm not quite sure, but it seems my age and I think it's bleeding.

—Hey, you okay, what happened to you? —Casey asks very worried as she checks the girl's wounds lying on the floor.

—It has... to get out of here —the girl replies in a whining.

—But I just came in and I need answers —Casey replies.

—They'll take you too... if you don't leave —the girl replies.

—Who? —Casey asks.

In that noise was heard around the hall and I had to hide under a metal bedside table, they weren't exactly footsteps, but soon a shadow arrives.

—How did you get here? —He asks the shadow as he effortlessly charges the girl and takes her away.

—She puts his finger on his lips making the sign of silence.

That was very strange, when I came out under the table I was cautiously tied in the corner of the aisle and saw the shadow take her in a place full of white bags hanging like in the butchers where they hang the animals, the shadow hung her upside down and slit her throat as she let it bleed to death and the room came to life more, the light became more and red as the poor girl was empty of all the blood that kept coming out of her weak body. That's when I realized that they somehow fed on us, I wasn't quite sure, but that's all I can understand for now, if they find me, I'll die just like the rest and I'll just be a piece of meat hanging until they bleed to death, they needed me for something, I'm still not quite sure, but I can't afford to end up like this, I have to get out of some way, there has to be a way out in all this chaos.
