|3rd POV|
Lymsleia looks at the battlefield in worry. She is currently on the eastern side of the battlefield, where Godwin makes a camp for her, Gizel, and Marscal Godwin. She wants to call Chiyome to take her away but holds herself back from calling her with Gizel and Marscal standing beside her.
"As you can see, my queen. Our force will defeat them."
She holds herself back from saying that the fight is not over yet. Her brother and his army have yet to surrender and are still fighting, but inside her heart, she starts to worry about her brother.
She stays silent and silently waits for her brother to win the fight.
"A little bit longer, and they will crumble. Their magicians will tire themselves out, and we can get close to their gate to blast it open."
Gizel says with a smile on his face. He is like the sight in front of him. Since day one of the war, all of his plans have gone wrong, and if this battle results in a win, they will get a second wind for their campaign. They need a big victory, and winning a direct battle against the Loyalist Army will be perfect for their faction.
"Once the gate is gone, the battle will be ours!"
Gizel shouts in excitement, but his hope crumbles quickly when one of the soldiers in their camp shouts.
"Enemy! Enemy coming from the North!"
"What?!"
Lord Marscal Godwin uses his telescope to see into the distance, and true to the soldier's word, two cavalry units are galloping through the grassland.
"Shit! Quickly! Fire the signal before those cavalry reach our army!"
"Yes, my lord!"
Five soldiers run to the edge of the wall and open the box full of fireworks. However, instead of finding fireworks, they found nothing.
"My lord! The firework signal is gone!"
"What do you mean by gone!? There should be thirty of them there!"
They did not know that the master saboteur was among them and already destroyed any communication tools and devices in their camp. Marscal shouted an order to search for any communication device or anything that let him communicate with Childerich but found nothing.
After screaming in frustration and anger, he looks as Gerrald and Wilhelm's units arrive at the enemy's rear. A few seconds later, a crash happened, and the massacre started.
Godwin's army was caught off guard, and they did not notice it for a few minutes because they were busy with what was happening in front of them.
Gerrald uses a glaive in this battle. When he arrived in front of Godwin's army, he swung his glaive and cut the enemy's head off his body. After cutting down his tenth man, he takes out a war horn and blows it up.
The sound of the war horn caught the attention of the rest of Godwin's army. He did this to create an opening for Lucretia, who quickly ordered the gate to open and let the infantry on her side move out.
Freyjadour shouts, and the people start charging out of the city wall and attack the enemy in front of them, who is confused at the situation.
Childerich grits his teeth as he sees that his army is now a sitting duck between two armies. He looks at the weak point where he can punch through and get away, but at the same time, he needs to take care of the mission Marscal has given him.
After thinking for a few seconds, Childerich decides to complete his mission as he can see Freyjadour is so close to him.
"You lot! Come with me! Follow me!"
After he shouts that, his unit starts to move and charge through the sea of people on the battlefield. He butchers anyone who gets close to him as he continues to run toward Freyjadour, who is fighting others.
Childerich jumped and thrust his wrist blade at Frey when he got close to him. Unfortunately for him, Frey notices him, blocks his attack, and jumps away from him. However, Childerich did not give up and dashed forward once again.
He releases a flurry of attacks, preventing Frey from doing anything but blocking the incoming attack. The people near Freyjadour try to help their prince, but Childerich's subordinate makes sure they cannot get close before they can even get near them.
Even though Freyjadour already grows at a tremendous speed, he is still not a match with Childerich, who has killed many people since he was young. After fifteen minutes of intense fighting, Childerich managed to disarm Frey and was ready to slice his throat open.
However, before he can even touch Freyjadour, a sword flies at him, and he needs to block the incoming attack. Childerich looks to the side and sees Gerrald arrive with a small number of his unit next to Freyjadour.
Gerrald gets off his horse and helps Frey get up. He then looks at Childerich and says.
"What is a mad dog doing on the battlefield? They should be killed before they bite any innocent."
Childerich growls in anger and takes out a handful of pills from his pocket before swallowing them all in one go. His entire skin changes into blood red, and steam starts to come out of his body. A couple of seconds later, he released a loud roar and looked at Gerrald with nothing but madness in his eyes.
Gerrald quickly releases all the water from the bottle on his belt and creates an ice block to imprison Childerich, but sadly, the madman destroys the ice that encases him. Childerich ran toward him and thrust his wrist blade when he arrived in front of Gerrald.
Gerrald crouched and thrust his left hand at Childerich before saying.
"Setting Sun"
He activates one of the spells given to him by the Twilight Rune he takes away from Alenia. After he says that word, Childerich's body is engulfed by fire, and before he can even scream in pain, his body turns into dust.
Seeing their leader turn to dust, Godwin's army starts to run away and surrender to the people who are too close to the loyalist army. Once again, the Loyalist Army won a battle against Godwin.
