"Sure. I will help you."

I give them a bright smile while inside my mind that I get free points. Norma and Ernst are both tier 4 characters, and that means six points for each of them. That leaves me with eighteen points I can use.

"Thank you! Thank you!"

I nod my head and take out my company stamp.

"Because I need to get close to the victim, I need you two to accompany me on my journey of exploring this place. Don't worry; I will hire you as a bodyguard of sorts."

I show them the stamp and say.

"As payment for this treatment, I need you guys to guard me for a year or at least until that man's curse is gone. This stamp will be the insurance for this agreement. It will let me track you. Don't worry. I will not actively track you every single day. I will give you privacy and only track you when you decide to run away after I do my side of the deal."

Norma thinks for a few seconds and looks at Ernst, who nods his head. Seeing her partner nod, she gives me a bright smile and says,

"It is a deal!"

I smile at them and start to stamp their hands. After I feel a connection between us, I nod and take out some money.

"Here. Take this money. This will be your front payment for your new job. I don't care what you are doing in this city, but I think we will leave after the Sacred Games."

Norma looks at the amount of money in her hand and says.

"A-Are you sure? This is a lot, you know?"

"Don't worry about it. You will be my bodyguard, and as your new boss, I will pay you for doing your job."

After looking at the money for a few seconds, Norma bows at me and says.

"Thank you so much! Ernst and I will make sure no harm comes to you! This, I swear!"

"Don't mention it. Anyway, we need to buy something. Enjoy this city, and please don't leave this city before us."

"Of course, sir!"

"Call me Gerrald."

After saying that, Nikea and I walked to the tavern to buy some food and drinks.

"Boss… Are you going to kick me out?"

I look at Nikea, who has an unreadable expression and smile at her.

"Don't worry, Nikea. I will not throw you away. I want to hire you as long as I'm still in this place. I decided to hire them because they are the type of people who don't want to owe someone. Hiring them is just an excuse."

"Ah, I see. Then I'm glad."

I can see Nikea release a relieved sigh, and I cannot help but pinch her cheek for it.

"You are so cute."

"M-Me?! Cute?!"

"Yup! You are cute and beautiful at once!"

I laugh when I see her blushing at my words. I don't know if this is the power of the stamp, but I like it. I might not want to have a good time at the moment, but I'm a man, and sooner or later, I'm horny enough to ask Nikea as my partner for the night.

We are returning from the shopping trip and bringing a lot of food. The Inn owner was kind enough to let us borrow her bowl to bring to the arena for us to eat while watching the fight, and we had just arrived before the fourth fight started.

And this time, it is a fight between Childerich and someone a noble hired to fight for them.

"Oh! This is the fighter you bet on, huh?"

"Yup. Childerich… he is dangerous."

Nikea nods at my words and frowns a little.

"He might give a smug and cocky appearance, but he did not have any opening in his stance or even when he just stood there not doing anything. He is ready to strike at any moment."

I nod at Nikea's words as I also notice as well.

This group is divided into three groups. Some decided to operate as an independent guild in the neighboring country. The others decide to start a new life and take a new identity to live a peaceful life. However, most of them get absorbed by the Godwin family.

They are now working for the Godwin family, and in the canon timeline, they are the reason why the Godwin rebellion was successful.

I shake my head when I see the fight start.

The fight starts with Childerich appearing in front of his opponent and starting to release a barrage of attacks. He is using an arms blade, and each of his moves is lethal. Childerich targets mostly nine places: the upper arm, collarbone, windpipe, temple, heart, diaphragm, rib, testicles, and thighs.

Most of those places are lethal in battle. Not only can it kill you in a single good hit in some of those parts, but it can also disable you in the long run. The upper arms will disable you from using your weapon, the same with the collarbone area. Thighs? Well, it will disable your movement. The testicle… I think he is just being mean or some sort of bad joke.

As I thought, Childerich won the fight in record time. He only needed five minutes to defeat his opponent. However, unlike the others, he brutally injured his opponent and even laughed at him. He is too dangerous for me at the moment. I need to gather more points and maybe buy another template to beat him in a straight fight.
