章 1555: Lazarus: “I’mma Dip”

Eren nodded in response to Argo's words.

Realizing that he himself was departing from Anfang, Eren understood there was no need to keep him tied to this world. Eren believed that, if fortune favored them, they would meet again in another world.

Argo had provided crucial assistance to Eren, greatly supporting Eren's version of the Lazarus Project. While, as a being with the soul fragment of a Demon Prince, Argo might view his actions as insignificant, Eren highly valued what he had done.

With this in mind, Eren resolved to repay Argo one day when he possessed the strength to do so.

"Aight. Time to yeet… but before I go… in this world of Anfang, this shall be my last gift to you, boss. Use… use it well."

We bid farewell to Argo in this chapter. To the army vet who named his pup Argo because of VEH's Argo– I hope you don't get upset after reading this chapter. :)

Also, you guys don't need to send me complaints. Argo isn't entirely gone. He's still alive as a soul fragment of the Demon Prince of Gluttony, Beelzebub. He's just not going to be in Anfang anymore.

In VEH, I treat every important character like a main character in their own story. Each character has their own role, knows different things, and makes choices based on their respective circumstances. After each battle, everyone has their own wins and losses.

Eren isn't always the "biggest winner" in most situations. Whether someone really wins depends on how they use what they've gained in the next rounds.

On that note, Argo almost became more important than Eren in some parts of the story because of how I wrote VEH. I think I had to tone down Argo in certain scenes so he wouldn't overshadow Eren.

Honestly, I couldn't focus on Argo as much as I wanted to in recent chapters due to the plot moving forward. His character doesn't handle serious situations well. But let's hope we can see Argo again in the future, either in VEH or in other books I'll write. ;)
