章 35: The Real Third Wheel

Wendy knew how serious Zen was about her work. Even though it was normal for multiple redrafts to be done during the designing process, Zen was not someone who would accuse others lightly. It was likely that this incident had something to do with Quinnly and Yvonne.

"Did you bring the draft back with you?" asked Wendy with pursed lips as she gazed at her friend.

Zen nodded. She took out a USB flash drive from her purse and plugged it into her laptop.

Wendy glanced at her design. There did not appear to be anything wrong with it. She had held Zen back that day from getting into an altercation with Yvonne precisely because she was afraid that Yvonne would find ways to exact revenge on Zen. Unexpectedly, the one thing that Wendy feared the most was already happening.

"This is only happening because of me. Yvonne wouldn't be making things difficult for you if you hadn't stood up for me," said Wendy, feeling guilty. "Don't worry, I'll seek justice for you."
