After arguing for five minutes, Tessa finally relented. She followed Quitta's steps back into the inside part of the cinema.
After asking the ticket clerk, who initially insisted on not wanting to tell them, Quitta and Farah were finally able to get information on which room Ghaza and Farah were in.
"Wait!" Quitta stopped Tessa's steps from entering the room they were headed for. She glanced at the ticket that was in Tessa's hand.
"Why?"
"We don't know where they're sitting, if we come in from the front, they might see us."
"Then what should we do now?" Tessa asked confused, as far as they knew the entrance and exit were on two different sides, but their arrival from the front would make them visible to other spectators.
Let alone the other spectators already sitting in their seats.
"Let's go home!" Quitta broke off, turning away from the entrance.
"Certainly not!"
Tessa grabbed Quitta's arm and led him toward the back entrance.
"We're already here."
"But... did the officer tell the truth? Or, what if she got the wrong person? What if Farah isn't here?"
Tessa pulled Quitta closer to her.
"It's okay we can continue watching, or we can just go home, it's up to you. But please, let me look for them here first." Said Tessa half pitifully. She will give up if Farah wasn't in this room.
Without denying it, Quitta followed Tessa behind her. One hand that was in Tessa's grip felt cold and trembling.
The two of them walked in the dim with the attendant's guidance. The movie, which had been running for fifteen minutes, seemed to show a tense scene. Fortunately, the audience's attention was fully focused on the giant screen in front of them.
Tessa's eyes were on the lookout for Farah and Ghaza. Meanwhile, Quitta didn't stop bowing her head and praying, hoping for once that God would grant her wish so that she would become an invisible person. She didn't want Ghaza to see her right now, not until she had the strength to look at him without shedding a tear.
Quitta and Tessa were relieved after getting their seats. Plus there were two other people who also entered along with them and were in the same line as the two of them.
Luckily they were in the back row, leaving them free to find everyone in the front. After confirming that Farah and Ghaza weren't in the same row as them, Tessa stood up and looked at each row below. And fortunately, one of the spectators who had just returned from the toilet passed in front of Ghaza. Because she stepped in a hurry, the woman swayed and almost hit Ghaza, making the boy stand half bent to help the woman who almost fell on him so as not to hit Farah.
The chair Tessa was sitting in was three rows behind Farah and Ghaza. Although not directly behind them, because her position was on the side, it was clear where they were. Tessa as well as Quitta could see the closeness that existed between Farah and Ghaza.
If you don't know them, people will think that the two are lovers.
Thump.
Thump.
Quitta's heart skipped a beat. The thought that Ghaza and Farah were dating behind her back made her heartache.
Quitta could not divert her gaze from both. Tessa felt the same thing. Although she occasionally tried to focus on the movie that was playing, her mind could not digest the film's flow.
Not a single word came out of their mouths. As if they were afraid that their voices would be heard by two people who were chatting freely. From where they were, Farah and Ghaza could be seen holding hands and bringing their cheeks together without looking awkward.
Two hours seemed long to Tessa. But she had to endure a mixture of disgust, disbelief, and anger. And when the film ended, she and Quitta just seat still until the cinema clerk reprimanded them both.
Not much different from Quitta, her condition is very worrying. Her limp face looked pale, and the cold air from the air conditioner made her body shiver.
"Do you want to eat first, Qitt?" Tessa asked after the two of them came down from upstairs.
After a few rides on the escalator, their condition began to improve.
"No need."
Tessa didn't force her, because she didn't feel like it either. Even though it was now dinner time, her appetite was gone along with the shock she was still trying to digest. She was sure Quitta must have felt the same way about her.
In the end, they both decided to go home right then and there.
Tessa also braced herself to be able to drive safely until they got home.
Now they are on their way home, leaving the mall they had been to.
For a few minutes, the atmosphere in the car was quiet. Tessa purposely turned off the air conditioner because they had already felt cold enough.
"Stop right here," Quitta said stopping Tessa who was driving.
"What?" Tessa asked though she could guess what Quitta was about to say.
"Don't tell Farah we saw her in the cinema with Ghaza."
Quitta was sure given Tessa's spontaneous nature, she would do it without waiting long.
"Why it can not?" Tessa stared at Quitta fiercely. She felt they should not hide it from Farah. As soon as Farah must know that her actions were already known to them. Farah has to pay for her lies.
"I'll wait until one of them admits it themselves."
"When? Do you think they will say it now? Or soon? We don't know since when they cheated on you behind your back! You see, their relationship is too close to your relationship with Ghaza, there's no way they've only been close now!" said Tessa, unable to contain her anger anymore.
Quitta was silent looking out the car window.
"I'm sorry Qitt, I know you must have your considerations. But I don't want you to endure this wound for too long, at least by getting them to quickly admit this problem will be resolved quickly and you can move on as soon as possible."
"Thanks, Tess, but I'm asking you just this once," Quitta said, gripping Tessa's fingers.
"But I can't pretend to be nice in front of them, especially in front of Farah!" said Tessa.
Quitta looks frantic and confused, she doesn't want to disappoint Tessa who seems to care about her so much, but she also can't be rude or hurt Farah. She remembered Farah's kindness to her, and even though her attitude might not be sincere, she couldn't just hate her.
Quitta is aware that part of her heart still refuses to believe that Farah has betrayed her trust and love. Though maybe Farah doesn't know her true feelings for Ghaza.
