Delilah's eyes glinted with a fury that seemed to deepen at his question. She crossed her arms, her voice dripping with defiance. "So what if I knew?"

Hunter's jaw tightened as he studied her. "Then tell me this— why did you pretend you didn't? Why go through all this charade?"

Delilah raised an eyebrow and then let out a cold, bitter laugh as she took a step closer, her eyes locked onto his with a sharp intensity. "I don't owe you any explanation, Blake, Hunter or whatever you call yourself. Now that it's all out in the open, you can pack up your stuff and leave. I'm done playing this game," she said, more because she was trying to appear strong than show him how embarassed she felt.

Hunter's expression hardened, "Like hell, I will! You have no right to glare at me, or be mad at me. I only played your game, Delilah, and I beat you at it." he shot back, his voice hardening.
