Once they reached the apartment, Ben laid Gwen down in her bedroom, her physical condition was fine she'd probably even wake soon, though she was still asleep it was only due to the sedative remaining in her system. Gwen's room was still a mess from that morning, they had been rushing around and the last thing that seemed important was making the bed and picking up the room. If EmJay minded the state of the room she hadn't indicated anything.
Stumbling a little he noticed his wound had started to bleed again, he needed to patch it up soon before he lost too much.
EmJay stayed beside Gwen staring at her naked face in astonishment. Having a guess at Spider-Woman's identity and having it confirmed were two completely different things. Jay couldn't help gasp in surprise when Ben had removed her mask, he had just wanted to make it easier for the blonde to breathe but to the redhead still in the room, it was world-shattering.
Leaving the two girls inside the room, Ben walked to the kitchen to boil some water for sterilization. Soon he noticed the more he moved, the more his side bled, he realized Kraven had cut him deeper than he originally thought. Even now his movements were beginning to dull and his thoughts were starting to get sluggish.
Ben pressed harder into the wound to stent the blood, but it didn't seem to be much help at that point only managing to make him feel dizzy instead. He soon found himself leaning over the stove-top just to remain upright. It took him several minutes to realize the water had already begun to boil. Moving the pot to the kitchen table, but he hadn't realized that his blood had already pooled at his feet and when he started to walk again he slipped.
Laying on the floor, Ben found himself too weak to get back to his feet. Closing his eyes he drifted in and out of consciousness, he spotted a red blur run to his side. Again, the resemblance to those two redheads was uncanny and his muddled mind couldn't process the difference. EmJay's worried face came into view as he remembered all the times he had spent with Mary Jane, the feelings he had in his memories momentarily resurfaced... before either of them knew what was happening, Ben's mouth was on her's kissing her passionately.
At first, EmJay fought the kiss but after a few moments, Ben released her on his own. He laid back on the kitchen tile floor, his remaining blood flowing out of his body, his thoughts and worry's slipping away with his life.
Neither of the two realized that a dazed blonde was standing behind the redhead with a hurt look marring her face.

Scott Summers was standing in the local cemetery, looking down at what he once thought was his only remaining family. Magneto had shown him a picture of a man who resembled his older brother Alex Summers greatly, but how could he trust a man like him. Magneto was a lot of things; Activist, a leader of people and a known racist... Not a trustworthy person in Scott's opinion, but would he really take a chance to work with such a monster for a chance to have back his last remaining family member in this world?
Sighing to himself he wasn't sure, but the way the X-Men were working now did it even matter anymore? The Brotherhood was working together with the X-Men, what would honestly be the difference if he worked directly for Magneto himself?
"You know, it's silly to glare at the gravestone of your brother when all you must do is go see the man. Honestly, I don't care much for him, myself. He's brash and reckless, but if he was someone I thought might give me answers..." The familiar voice spoke from his back, but he didn't turn around to face her, just continued to look at the gravestones in front of him.
"Yeah, that sounds like him. But how can I be sure you're telling the truth? This could just be some elaborate plan to capture me?" He wanted to believe her, but it sounded too good to be true.
"Only one way to find out." He turned around to stare at the platinum blonde he met a few weeks ago. Then she was standing at the side of an enemy, but she was just as breathtakingly beautiful then as she was now and the temptation, he felt from this woman wasn't something he could help but find irresistible. Holding out a hand in invitation he took it without much hesitation, the petite hand fit nearly perfectly inside his own.
Meeting her baby blue eyes her smile lit up the gloomy graveyard for the briefest of moments, then she started pulling him towards the exit.
Scott couldn't help wondering if he might have found his place in the world.

During the battle to rescue Logan, it wasn't much of a surprise when their 'allies' abandoned them in the middle of the battle. She should have expected it before they even have gotten there, but she trusted the 'Professor's' opinion. It was thanks to the Phoenix she no longer trusted Xavier, which made her want to know what the old man was thinking.
Again, she should have expected something by his recent odd behavior... He was a fake! It wasn't even a 'HE'! She was Mystique disguising herself as the leader of the X-Men. Luckily, she had taken down the Sentinel faster than the authorities could arrive, so at the least, the authorities weren't hot on their heels. Though, the existence of mutants was still exposed thanks to a local traffic copter that had gotten too curious. Now the X-Men would need to go into hiding, but at least it would take longer to track them back to the X-Mansion but first, she needed to get this crazy shape-shifting lady in check.
Glaring at the 'Professor' as the Blackbird landed on the basketball court Jean quietly stood up and walked down the ramp. Once she reached the bottom, she turned facing her fellow X-Men and the one outsider.
Seeing her glare pointed at Xavier her fellow students stood behind her one by one. Much to Mystique's credit, she didn't waver under Jean's hard glare.
"Where is he?" Jean asked confusing most of her teammates with the question.
"Who exactly do you mean, Marvel Girl?"
"Stop. Pretending to be him?! I've already seen through your trick!" Jean was already furious with the actual man, let alone the woman that attempted to lead them into a trap. The world around her started to tremble as rocks rose into the air as she spoke again, "Do you know how it feels to have your insides on the outside of your body? You will unless you tell me exactly where we can find Xavier..."
The group of teenagers watched their team leader with speculation, but a few who noted the Professor acting strange recently prepared themselves for battle.
Chuckling to herself she morphed back into her original form, stunning the more skeptical members of the X-Men completely as she stood up, "No, I don't think you will."
With a wave of her hand, the blue woman was tossed in the air and Jean used her psychic abilities to put pressure on her.
Mystique wouldn't admit it but she was scared of the new Jean Grey, but she still had leverage on the X-Men and if there was one thing Mystique knew well was how to use any leverage to her own advantage.

Waking up, he felt someone holding his hand. The rhythmic sound of a heart monitor seemed to echo in his ears, the twitching of his fingers seemed to shake awake the worried blonde at his bedside. Smiling at him Gwen sat up in her seat searching him with her eyes confirming his condition.
"Where are we?" Ben croaked as he tried to get to a sitting position as well.
Blushing a little Gwen answered, "I uh, panicked when I got up and seen you on the floor and EmJay wasn't much help... So kind I of called my Dad." Gwen winced like she expected Ben to yell at her.
When he didn't, she finished awkwardly, "There wa... was a lot of blood, but... I made sure to get you here under a false name so..."
Seeing her panicking Ben couldn't help smiling. Placing his larger hand on top of her own, he spoke, "It's okay Gwen, it's not a big deal. I don't really have an identity to expose here, remember? So, how long have I been here exactly?"
Visibly calming at his touch she answered, "Four days. We made a story about being attacked after leaving the library. My Dad has a few connections here, so as long as you are out soon, nobody should start asking questions."
Gwen looked like she wanted to say more, but she was hesitant. Squeezing her fingers she looked at him, Ben could guess her next words but he knew she had to be the one to say them.
Somehow finding the encouragement in his gaze she finally spoke, "Ben... I'm sorry about earlier... about the things I said. It... it wasn't fair and it's not how I feel." She said softly
"Are you sure, Gwen? Because that is the one thing I can never change about myself and if me being a clone bothers you..."
He didn't get to finish his words as she quickly bent down kissing his lips, "God, Ben I don't! I I have a bad habit of saying hurtful words to win an argument. I'll work on it, but it doesn't mean I don't love you..."
Smirking he caught her lips interrupting her this time, then he brought her small body on the bed with him. Looking into her sky blue eyes he said, "I made you say it again!" he laughed.
For a few moments, she stared at him confused and bewildered by the sudden change. Once she finally caught on she glared at him in good humor, " You were just messing with me the entire time?!"
"No, not really, if you are bothered by the clone thing just tell me... I know you, Gwen, maybe not as well as I would like but there is only one way to fix that." Ben said bringing her back into a deep kiss.
They stayed like that for several minutes but they stopped as Ben's wound started to hurt, "You need to heal more before we get to the better stuff. The doctor said you tore some muscles pretty well, so you would be out of commission for a while. Fighting with that wound, took a lot out of you. So, no webs for a bit, girlfriends orders." Gwen said while tucking the covers around him.
"A Spider-Man in any dimension that listens to that advice would be a sight to see!" Ben winced in pain as he laughed at his own attempt at a joke.
"Yeah well their girlfriends don't have spider-powers," Gwen said ending the debate.
"We can't stay. Murdock will know I've been stabbed." Ben said trying to get up.
"Nope already handled, my dad thinks like you. Hence the false name and you're not in the system. A doctor here is college buddies with my dad, they slipped you in. May Parker dropped this off at my dad's, fresh baked cookies. They are Peter's favorite. The note said for Ben." Gwen gave a questioning look.
"Unlike Murdock, that woman is a Saint in any dimension. She found me at Pete's grave after our fight. Cussing at my parent's grave didn't help. So she knew who I was even if I wasn't hers." Smiling again he repeated, "She knew." Ben he couldn't stop smiling even if he tried.
The couple sat in comfortable silence until a knock on the door reverberated throughout the small room. Ben looked at his partner as she seemed to blushed in embarrassment. She mouthed 'my dad's and got out of the bed. Dread hit him firmly as she opened the door.
ok I've hesitated getting this chapter out due to the 'out of nowhere' kiss between EmJay and Ben but things happened to make me not really have time to consider another approach. Enjoy.
