章 12: Leaving the city.
When he heard that the army was leaving from the city today he felt like a lightning have passed through his heart. Currently other than the system, army is the only straw he have to depend in the world. To get all the knowledge and to position in the world he need to be in the army. So he thanked the librarian and began to ran towards the training camp outside the city.
When he have began to run to the training ground the sun haven't risen. But when he reached the training ground the sun have already reached up in the city. When he neared the training camp he saw a large number of people standing there in rows. He saw the man who bought him to the training camp standing at the stage in front of the people. He saw few other officials standing behind him. He saw the man with scar who tested him standing on the stage. Marvin saw the few people who was with him at the selection standing at the last row. So he tried to enter the line silently. But he saw the man who brought him to the training camp looking at him and pressured him from a long distance. Others standing below the stage didn't felt anything. But the others standing in the stage realized that the commander who was standing in front of them was angry and have started to pressure someone. So they started to search for the victim and saw Marvin kneeling at the end of the last row. Marvin was kneeling because he can't withstand the pressure from the commander. He felt like all the all the bones being grinded and he felt like a mountain fall on to him.
Suddenly a bar have appeared in his mind. It was different from the previous bars he saw in his mind when he was in the library. Because there was some words on top of the bar. The words were "Physique Strengthening". The bar was slowly being filled. From 0% the bar began to fill. As he saw the bar being slowly filled, he felt that the pressure decrease. As he was about to stand up, he felt that the pressure have completely disappear and saw the bar in his mind stop. As it happened he heard the voice of the commander.
" All of you will be going east to fight against the demon beast. Some of may loose your life. But we will all die with honor. We won't allow the demon beasts and the demi-humans that control the beasts ravage our country and destroy it. We will not allow them to kill our families and friends. We are the shield that protect the country and the spear against the beast. Our only mission is to kill the beast and protect our people. So tell me are you with me for that" as he said that an intense amount of killing intent began to radiate from the commander.
"Yes, sir" all the soldiers and people in the crowd roared and from all the soldiers an intense killing intent escaped. If the killing intent from the commander was a river then the killing intent from the soldiers was an ocean. It filled the training ground. When he saw that the commander ordered, "Then, move out."
With the order from the commander all the soldiers and the new recruits began to move toward the east. All the new recruits were allowed in the carriages in the back. But when Marvin was about to enter into the carriage, the man with the scar, the one who tested during the selection have walked toward him. when Marvin saw the man he, saluted the man very respectfully. The man looked at Marvin . He then sighed and said " As punishment for coming late, the commander ordered you to go with the soldiers." Then he walked back to the commander. When others have heard the order from the commander, some have looked at Marvin with pity, while some others have snickered at Marvin. But all this time there was an indifferent look on Marvin's face.
