Gu Xin Ye opened her eyes to a slit and winced at the pain around her right face. The pain was so much that it made her want to cry. However, she did not dare to make any noise, worrying that she would catch her capture's attention.

The scene where He Shen had slapped her cheek resurfaced in her mind.

Gu Xin Ye tried to sit up and look around. But she fell again as she was feeling dizzy. She tried to touch her head but realized that her hands and legs were tied.

From where she was lying down, Gu Xin Ye could see that she was in a room. 

It was dark. However, there was a slight light coming from the outside.

Fortunately for her, Director He Shen or Miss Li Yan was nowhere to be seen. At least she could now breathe easily while trying to figure out what she wanted to do next. 

She needed to leave this place!
