"Who's Danielle?" Douglas asked, feigning ignorance.
"Please, stop the pretense," Alex rolled his eyes.
"In case you're thinking of fabricating a lie, I've ran into Danielle twice and I know where to find her if I want to," Alex said matter-of-factly.
"Nothing much, Danielle is Faustina's best friend," Douglas said, earning a raised eyebrow from Alex.
"But you cheated on Faustina, didn't you?" Alex pressed.
"Where did you get that absurd information from?" Douglas retorted, almost losing his cool. Alex's words stirred up painful memories he had buried within him over the years
"The journal, of course," Alex said. "It says, 'Danielle took the man I love,'" he explained.
"So, who says I'm the man she loves? And didn't your mother, Faustina, marry your father? Who's Lopez?" Douglas retorted. "I think you should be interrogating him and not me."
